SOCIAL SCIENCE MAJOR IN HUMAN GEOGRAPHY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE

Ever since I got off the train in the winter and saw Middelburg all lit up, with its old cobbled streets and canals, I have been in love with this city. I grew up in Lima, Peru, first within the main city and, later on, in the quieter suburbs.

I loved the peace and quiet of the suburbs, but also the big city ambiance from when I went into town. Luckily, Middelburg has both these qualities.

You can easily go shopping, or to cafes and bars with your friends, while still having that peace and unique vibe intrinsic to small cities. The UCR community is also very connected to the city: while walking around Middelburg, you will always see familiar faces. Also, as someone who was raised within walking distance of the beach, having plenty of them nearby is amazing.

Middelburg is simply a great city to live in, I am so happy I ended up moving here.
